Search Engine Results on Making Money

As with so many businesses in the 21st century, profit systems and investment scheme's wrangle over top search engine positions. The reason for this is quite obvious even to the layman who understands that the world wide web has so much focus placed upon it in terms of marketing. It is simply available to so many people that any serious industry would be either incredibly brave or extremely silly to ignore its potential.

There is however a slight problem with the search engine results as far as marketing is concerned. For example, how often do you type a query into Google and NOT return eBay somewhere in the top 10 results or Google ad? E-bay auctions so many things with so many possible keywords in their item descriptions that it is almost impossible for it not to be listed. If you type in Mazda Parts, I'm sure somebody somewhere will be selling a part from a Mazda on eBay and with so many back-links how could it not be shown? In reality you actually wanted a list of businesses selling spare parts for cars.

The same is true for investments or money making online. Yes I'm sure somebody is selling a book about how to make money online or with investment advice, or simply selling "information" which will be e-mailed to you upon your successful bid (which no doubt will simple be a short e-mail advising you to visit the sellers website). Equally you will probably return several results for forums on making money, or worse which merely contain a message regarding it. Some website written by someone specifically to advertise their affiliate link with the title 'Yes you can make money online' is sure to be found probably in the top 10 or 20 results.

But when you typed 'make money', you didn't want all that baloney really. You wanted a list of sites which offer you the opportunity to do so, each will contain their own terms and conditions along with all the information you need to make a decision before moving to the next result if you didn't sign up to the previous one.

The simple truth is, if you are marketing a website which requires hits for key words such as 'make money', with over 170 million pages returned in the results of which you can sometimes only view the first 250, their is little chance of search engines being of any real use to you.
